LEETONIA, Ohio - A company held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility in Leetonia.
The Haltec Corporation is building a 59,000 square foot facility that will be used for more manufacturing.
Haltec, a leader in the tire valve industry, is developing new technology for inflating everything from tires to athletic balls.
"With the automotive industry in 2007, they mandated tire pressure monitoring systems on all passenger cars, and that was kind of the springboard into technology into tires," said Haltec Corporation President Tom Moyer.
Haltec also operates locations in Salem, Florida, and Ireland.
