YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A plea hearing has been delayed for a woman charged with causing a crash in Youngstown that left two young children and another person dead.
Ka'Nosha Bason, 26, of Warren had been scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on Monday and enter a plea on an indictment handed up in connection with a deadly accident that occurred on February 23, 2018.
Police say Bason was driving a GMC Envoy the wrong way on the 7-11 connector when it collided with a semi-tractor trailer, shutting down a highway ramp for more than 12 hours.
Three passengers riding in the Envoy, 32-year-old Cedrick Lyons and two children, Noreyion Bason, age seven, and Nialaisha Bason, age five all died in the crash. Prosecutors say Bason had marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol in her system.
Bason is charged with driving under the influence and multiple counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.
Her plea hearing is now scheduled for August 6 before judge Anthony Donofrio.
