Liberty shooting suspect turns himself in Tuesday

Liberty police have a man in custody following a shooting on Saturday.

LIBERTY, Ohio - Liberty police have a man in custody following a shooting on Saturday.

According to officers, 42-year-old Mark D. Britt, Jr. of Youngstown turned himself in on Tuesday.

The shooting happened over the weekend at the Monticello Apartments.

Police said a caller told them she heard yelling, screaming, then gunshots outside her house and the suspect may have fled in a white Honda belonging to her.

Britt, Jr. is facing charges of felonious assault and having weapons under disability.
