A mother was charged after a toddler was found wandering alone Saturday morning in East Liverpool.

Police charged 28-year-old Kristen Culp with endangering children.

Residents found the boy unattended on Thompson Avenue just before 10 a.m.

The boy was found only wearing a Mickey Mouse diaper.

They took the boy into their home until police arrived, according to a police report.

After no luck in finding out where the child came from, officers took him to the police station.

The East Liverpool Police Department located the mother of the two-year-old a few hours later when a relative told her that her son was on the police department's Facebook page.

She then told police the family was up late and she assumed that the child and family would be sleeping in.

Police said Culp told them she didn't realize the boy went out the back door which did not lock properly and they just moved into their house.

According to the report, Several people and the local McDonald's donated food, drinks, and clothing for the child after they saw the department's post online.
