The Boardman Lions Club stepped up to make sure kids stay warm as the weather gets cooler.

The club hosted its 11th annual New Coats for Kids program on Tuesday afternoon at Target.

They started with the families who were most in need, and then continued to give the coats away until their budget was spent.

Over 10 years, 455 families have received 941 coats for a total of $42,825, the club said.

They are already raising money for next year. Anyone interested in donating can click here
