Columbiana County Recorder sued as part of deadly car crash
Columbiana County Recorder Theresa Bosel appeared in Canfield Court in Mahoning County for a pretrial related to a deadly accident in Beaver Township.
Bosel previously pled not guilty to a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in the death of 69-year-old Cecil Chamberlain of California.
He died when a Jeep driven by Bosel allegedly struck Chamberlain's Ford Fusion on Western Reserve Road in Beaver Township on August 19th.
Chamberlain's widow, who was a passenger, was injured in the crash and has now filed a lawsuit seeking damages.
Bosel's attorney says they still have not received the accident reconstruction and other evidence that would allow them to take the case to trial.
The Judge has rescheduled a final pretrial for January 10th in hopes that the victim's family and the prosecution can be present to see where things stand with the evidence in the case.
