Mercer County, Pa. - A man is accused of stabbing a victim multiple times in Mercer County during a fight and then fleeing the scene.

Pennslyvania state police say they arrested 21-year-old Garrett Arnold of Greenville after the incident, which happened overnight Saturday in Hadley. 

According to a release from state police, Arnold and the victim exchanged some heated text messages and agreed to meet in the area of Beatty School Road to fight.

The two showed up with friends, and during the fight, police say Arnold stabbed the victim in the back several times. They say Arnold took off as the victim's friends took him to the hospital.

The stabbing victim was treated and released.

As for Arnold, he's awaiting arraignment on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
