Canfield Schools hosting community roundtable for open BOE seat
The Canfield School Board has announced a community roundtable event to address the open board seat.
According to the release, the Canfield Board of Education has received a large number of applications for the seat that was vacated by Craig Olson in December.
More than 23 people applied for the open seat, and after a round of interviews, five candidates have been chosen as finalists.
Those five applicants are:
- Nader G. Atway
- Matthew A. Campbell
- Jacquelyn Nohra Duda
- Dianna Tolen Perrico, M.D.
- Kimberly P. Urig
The five candidates will participate in the public roundtable on January 15th from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Canfield High School Auditorium.
Community members will have the opportunity to write questions on index cards for candidates to answer.
Following the roundtable, the Board will have an executive session followed by their regular meeting.
They expect to name a member to fill the vacant seat during the regular meeting.
