Niles convenience store going extra mile to protect customers, employees

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the region and statewide, a convenience store in Niles is going the extra mile to protect employees and customers.
At Buckeye Beverage in Niles, owners of a small convenience drive-through food and beverage store are doing all they can to try and keep customers and employees safe. They require employees to wear gloves, or owners wear gloves and sanitize high touch surfaces every 30 minutes.
Masks are available to employees who want them.
Co-owner Nick Graham is not just relying on products from store shelves, his store is going the extra mile by hiring a professional cleaning service.
RBH Cleaning uses hospital-grade sanitizers.
Graham said, "They did an industrial cleaning of the entire store from bathrooms to the handles, to the warehouse everything. They even sanitized the dumpster and entire ice machine along with the handles to the ice machine. We are probably going to have them do the professional cleaning at least once a week for our employees as well as our customers."
Graham says that he has not received a final bill yet, but the cost to help keep everyone safe is worth it with the spread of this coronavirus COVID-19.
We reached out to the owner of RBH Cleaning Roy Hanna in Youngstown.
"It's affordable enough at least a half dozen dealerships in the region that have their buildings cleaned once a day or once a week. We even steam clean the bathroom surfaces and floors since the virus eventually drops from the air to the floor. We also provide professional cleaning for some local hotels," said Hanna.
Estimates are based on the size of the building that needs sanitizing and the company's needs.
