YOUNGSTOWN -  A 23-year-old Youngstown man is jailed without bond after allegedly assaulting a Mercy Health employee and five police officers at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

Humility of Mary Police officers arrested Donnovan Slocum Wednesday morning on the seventh floor of the hospital after being called to a disturbance there.

According to a police report, an employee of the hospital’s Behavioral Health unit was bitten on the arm.

Two officers received head injuries, another officer was bitten, another officer reported a shoulder injury, and a fifth officer reported a back injury.

The report says all six victims received medical treatment for their injuries.
