Lt. Governor Husted: Training can start for contact sports

There's good news for Ohio high school sports athletes.
Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced effective May 26 skills training can resume for contract sports including football, basketball and lacrosse as long as safety protocols are followed.
This includes, but not limited too weight training, agility, skills and other types of things one would use to train.
The Lt. Governor says conversations are ongoing with the Ohio High School Athletic Association when more can start.
Husted says this also mean a change in the health order.
"School buildings and facilities will be allowed to be used for skills training. Use of the facilities is up to the local school district and their operational rules."
Husted added the state is working on getting sports up and operational as soon as possible under safety guidelines.
