Lisbon schools moving toward in-person and remote learning

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Lisbon Exempted Village Schools are moving towards a system where there can be in-person and remote learning.
"If kids want to come back to school, they can do that. If kids want to learn virtually, remotely, they can do that," Superintendent Joseph Siefke said.
Siefke added they can do that simultaneously. If you have a classroom with 20 kids, Siefke said 10 of them can be in the classroom and 10 of them can be learning virtually.
"We're delivering that content simultaneously in that classroom to all 20 kids," he said.
An informational meeting was held at the high school Saturday on West Pine Street.
School officials already put out a survey to get parent's opinions on their kids coming back amid the coronavirus.
The survey found most parents want them to resume in-person learning, but the district wanted to hear from the parents directly.
The plan for fall is still being finalized, but they hope to make it public by the end of this month.
