Editor's note: In August of 2020, the felony robbery charges were dismissed against both Carlini and Curry. Carlini plead guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge and was sentenced to one-year probation and a $200 fine. Curry plead no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge and was found guilty. Curry was also fined $200. 

 

Two men have been charged with robbery and assault after police say they beat a man and stole his property during a party.

Devin Carlini, 21, and Javante Curry, 21, have both been charged with robbery and assault following an incident that occurred on Sunday, July 26. in Coitsville Township.

According to the police report, Carlini and Curry stole and assaulted the victim during a party, stealing a gold chain, cell phone and cash.

Police say after the incident Curry posted on social media that he had beat the victim at the party.

Police also note that both suspects were much bigger than the victim.

The stolen property was later found where the incident took place and the victim did need to go to the hospital to receive medical treatment
