Austintown teen dies after being struck on bike

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - An Austintown teenager has died after troopers said he was struck by a vehicle while on his bicycle Tuesday.
The Summit County Medical Examiner says 16-year-old Nathan McStowe passed away Wednesday evening.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the teen was struck just before 5 p.m. Tuesday on Pembrook Road west of Orkney Street.
McStowe was critically injured and taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
He was later taken to Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, where he died.
Troopers said 53-year-old Thomas Neff, of Youngstown, was not injured, but the front-end of his vehicle sustained minor damage.
He was traveling west on Pembrook Road when Mcstowe went into the road from a private driveway, causing the two to collide, according to troopers.
Troopers said no charges had been filed at this time for Neff.
They said Mcstowe was not wearing a helmet.
The crash is under investigation.
