The Youngstown Fire Department was on scene Friday morning for a house fire on the city's south side.

It happened around 2:45 a.m. at a home on West Myrtle Avenue near Hillman Street.

The fire torched the home, burning it to the ground and leaving just debris.

Firefighters had to deal with a live gas line and downed wires in the area while battling the blaze.

Ohio Edison had to be called to the area to safely remove the wires that were blocking part of the road.

There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
