OSP says alcohol was a factor in Southington Twp. rollover crash

SOUTHINGTON TWP. - Ohio State Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor in a one-vehicle rollover crash that happened just after 4 p.m. Sunday evening.
The incident occurred on Helsey Fusselman Road at Barclay Messerly Road in Southington Township.
According to a release, Joshua A. Curry, 27, of Southington was westbound on Helsey Fusselman Road, in a white 2008 Ford F-250.
According to police, Curry traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, re-entered the roadway, and overturned onto its right side.
A 16-year-old passenger received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Trumbull Regional Hospital.
Curry received minor injuries and was transported to Trumbull Regional Hospital.
Helsey Fusselman Road was closed during the investigation but has since re-opened.
The Champion Township Fire Department, Farmington Township Fire Department, Southington Township Fire Department, and Warren Township Police Department assisted at the crash scene.
Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the crash and neither occupant were wearing seatbelts.
According to police, Curry was charged with failure to control, operating a vehicle under the influence, child endangering, driving under a failure to reinstate driver's license, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
