A car knocked over a pole on Youngstown's South Side early Thursday, closing the road and cutting power.
It happened just after 5 a.m. along East Midlothian Boulevard, east of Southern Boulevard.
Dispatchers were told that the wires were on top of the car.
Fewer than ten homes and businesses in the area have no electricity.
East Midlothian is expected to reopen after FirstEnergy arrives to fix the pole.
