HOWLAND, Ohio - Authorities have released the names of the victims of a fatal three-vehicle crash in Howland Township Saturday afternoon.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that 65-year-old Thomas Poole of Huntsburg, Ohio was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital in Youngstown after his Volkswagen Beetle went through a red light at Howland Wilson Road and struck a Tesla Sedan. The Tesla was forced into Chevy Traverse in the oncoming lane.

Poole, who troopers say was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the VW.

The driver of the Tesla, Kelly Barnes, 39, as well as the driver of the Traverse, Michael Werblan, 73, and his passenger Cheryl Werblan, 74, all of Warren, were taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries that the patrol says are not life-threatening.

Impairment is not a factor in the crash according to the patrol and the crash remains under investigation.
