No bond set for Youngstown man accused of raping minors

YOUNGSTOWN - No bond was set for a Youngstown man accused of raping minors who were under 13 years old at the time.
Franklin Byron Clark Jr., 51, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Tuesday.
The arraignment comes after a Mahoning County Grand Jury handed down a 23-count indictment to Clark, which includes 12 counts of rape and 11 counts of gross sexual imposition.
According to the indictment, there were four alleged victims where one was as young as two at the time. The alleged incidents happened over the course of several years, the indictment states.
Following the indictment, U.S. Marshals arrested Clark on March 4 on the 700 block of Brentwood Avenue in Youngstown.
A trial date has been set for May 10 in Judge Scott Krichbaum's court.
