CAMPBELL, Ohio - After a devastating fire Sunday afternoon, the Jehova House of Prayer in Campbell has been deemed a total loss.

The Acting Campbell Fire Chief, Greg Rosile, believes the blaze started from an electric issue resulting in flames near the altar inside the church.

The church was 120 years old and because of that, it could not sustain the flames.

The fire broke out during a service Sunday afternoon, but all 14 members made it out safely.

"IT'S DEVASTATING. ESPECIALLY A PLACE OF GOD THAT CATCHES FIRE. IT REALLY GETS YOU IN THE STOMACH. IT'D BE NICE IF THEY CAN REBUILD AND STAY IN CAMPBELL BUT THAT WOULD BE UP TO THE CONGREGATION," SAID ROSILE.

The pastor of the church says they're not sure what comes next, but hope they can continue services and rebuild with insurance.

The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
