The City of Struthers has made the decision to extend their income tax filing deadline to May 17th.

The move is pursuant to the Federal Government and the State of Ohio.

The extension to May 17th adds an extra month to the original deadline of April 15th.

Tax Commissioner Ryan Rogalski said the extension is intended to provide relief to those affected by safety measures in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Struthers will also be waiving penalty on tax due payments made during the extension.
