SOUTHINGTON, Ohio - A Southington woman is facing charges after allegedly stabbing a man.

According to initial reports, 39-year-old Mary Clearwater allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old man from Painesville at a home on the 2900 block of Rosemary Avenue NW around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Initial reports say the 911 caller heard a man yelling and screaming and said it sounded like someone was being "slapped around."

Reports say officers found the victim to have stab wounds on both of his sides.

The victim was taken to the hospital for surgery and treatment.

911 reports say a warrant was entered for felonious assault, but Clearwater does not have charges listed in the Trumbull County Jail.

Jail records currently list an out-of-county charge as a reason for her being held.
