Trumbull health services push vaccine amid rise in cases

TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - Daily Trumbull County COVID-19 cases are increasing, according to a joint press release from the Trumbull County Combined Health District and the Warren City Health District.
Cases in the county over just the past two days are equal to the amount of cases seen over the previous seven day total.
The release states that the bulk of these new cases are popping up in the community, rather than in nursing homes or hospitals.
As the Delta variant becomes more prevalent in the United States, the Health Districts say that vaccination is the most effective way to protect yourself those around you.
The Delta variant is more contagious than all previous variants of the virus, taking only a small amount of the virus to spread from an infected person to an uninfected person.
Trumbull County's vaccination rate remains under 45%.
The Trumbull County Combined Health District will continue to offer vaccine clinics at the Eastwood Mall inside the former Lane Bryant store, near the center court next to Pandora and across from Auntie Anne's. These vaccine sites will have all three versions of the vaccine available- Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson.

Market St. Dates for the clinics include August 11th, 18th, and 25th. Hours are morning and afternoon, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and then 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
