Campbell Public Library to take temporary hiatus

CAMPBELL, Ohio - The Campbell branch of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC) will be taking a temporary hiatus from Saturday, Aug. 14 to Wednesday, Sept. 8.
According to the library's Chief Operating Officer, Deborah McCollough, library staff will be using this time off to work with Campbell Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center (CLWCC) and plan ongoing library services to the community, as well as providing services that will meet needs for the upcoming school year.
In addition, Aimee Fifarek, Director and CEO of PLYMC says that low traffic during the summer, reduced hours for the CLWCC where the library is located and moving staff around are other factors contributing to this hiatus.
During the hiatus, the library's book drop will remain open and maintained, and the Book Vending Machine, as well as the Holds Pick-Up Locker will remain open for patrons to utilize.
PLYMC reminds all patrons that they can use any library in the PLYMC system for library materials during this hiatus.
Fifarek says she is excited to help patrons again once the library opens back up.
"We love being in the Campbell School area. It's a beautiful space. Our staff is excited to help people find the materials and information they need," Fifarek said.
