A weekend effort to get impaired drivers off Mahoning County roads resulted in two OVI arrests, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers, Boardman Township Police and the Mahoning County OVI Task Force conducted a sobriety checkpoint along with saturation patrols.

One-hundred-and-eighty cars passed through the checkpoint on Market Street north of Route 224 late Saturday night.

Although no arrests were made during the checkpoint, the saturation patrols resulted in the two OVI arrests.  Ten citations were issued, including one for drug paraphernalia.
