HUBBARD, Ohio - The fire department in Hubbard is giving residents plenty of notice that residents may see emergency vehicles converging on a city park in a couple of weeks.

The Eagle Joint Fire District has announced that it will be conducting a mass casualty drill on Saturday, Oct 2nd from 8 am-1 pm at Hubbard’s Harding Park.

The drill will be conducted in conjunction with the Trumbull County Hazmat team, Lane Life-Trans, Brookfield Fire, YSU, KSU, and Mercy College Nursing students and faculty.

Mercy Health Youngstown and Trumbull Regional Hospital will be utilizing students as patients during the drill.

Fire officials say the area will be clearly marked with signs. A safety officer and public information officer will be available during the drill.
