A broken brake light led to the arrest of two New Castle men on drug charges in Lawrence County.

Mahoning Township Police say they pulled over a car last week after spotting the faulty brake light and failure to switch off the turn signal in the area of Churchill and Martin Kelly Spears roads. In Pennsylvania, drivers are required to stop turn signals once a turn is made or a lane is changed.

Police say a search of the car turned up crystal meth valued at between $6,200 and $9,600, as well as a syringe, marijuana, and a glass pipe.

Investigators say there were nearly 240 grams of methamphetamine. Most of it was mixed in a Monster Energy Drink, according to police.

The 43-year-old driver Gregory Martello, and 32-year-old passenger William Robles, are charged with possession with intent to deliver drugs.

Martello, who is wanted in another community, is being held in jail on $250,000 bond.
