CANFIELD, Ohio - The Mahoning County OVI task force has released the results of two Sobriety checkpoints late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The first checkpoint was held on Market St. near Ferncliff from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and the second was held on US-224 at the East Golf Course and Bike Trail in Boardman from 12:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.

Task force agencies participating in the checkpoint include Boardman, Canfield, Austintown, Beaver, Jackson, MCSO, Mill Creek, Poland Township and Sebring.

A total of 423 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. 10 vehicles were directed to the diversion area for further investigation. 

Enforcement activity is as follows:

-4 OVI-related arrests

-2 summons for no operator's license

-1 citation for adult restraint

-1 summon for drug abuse

-1 arrest for drug paraphernalia 

-1 citation for marked lanes

-1 citation for expired registration

-1 felony arrest for carrying a concealed weapon
