In Campbell Mayor Nick Philips is asking voters to elect him for a fourth term.

He didn't return our call for an interview but his social media page outlines bringing a new business Dunkin' Donuts to Campbell, updated police policy, and firefighters trained to answer ems calls for help.

A few of Philips priorities listed include phase three of citywide beautification, phase two of Roosevelt Park, and work to bring fiber optics to the city.

But another face familiar to folks in the community councilman Bryan Tedesco is going door to door asking voters to elect him as their new Mayor.

Tedesco says he is proud of working 22 years on behalf of residents.

"I have no personal agenda against anybody here. I just want to make the city better," said Councilman Tedesco.

Tedesco tells 21 News that people want roads paved, a grocery store, and garbage cans with wheels that are easier to move.

His priorities include tearing down blighted homes or rehabilitating homes that can be saved for veterans, and job creation.

"There's no industry here right now so we have to get the industry back up and running," emphasized Tedesco.

Tedesco says retiring from Ohio Edison means he will be able to work long hours answering calls, to help move the city he loves forward.
He emphasizes he has the ability to bring people, and departments together.

If elected he makes a unique promise.

"I will not take any wages for this job," Tedesco said.

He says his salary could be used to help reward people who find savings for taxpayers in Campbell and people that do good.

Voters will make their decision at the polls which open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
