Man arrested for indecency, other charges after allegedly sexually harassing co-worker at Hubbard gas station
A man is currently in Trumbull County Jail after Hubbard police were alerted of a sexual harassment issue taking place with a co-worker at a gas station on Youngstown Hubbard Rd.
The female victim told police that she did not know the real name of the suspect, as he was referred to only by an alias, "Vicky."
Police say the victim told them that Vicky had allegedly been repeatedly touching her inappropriately and offering her money to have sexual intercourse with him, stating that this has been occurring since she was hired in late September.
Police say the victim recently discovered that Vicky had allegedly taken pictures and videos of her private areas without her consent.
Officers spoke with "Vicky" who was identified as Lakhwinder Singh (33) on Nov 16. Singh advised he was on the phone with the owners of the store.
Police say once the owners of the store showed up, they asked to view the store's surveillance video of an incident occurring Nov. 3 in which Singh allegedly molested her and leaving a bruise.
Police say the store owners claimed that they'd recently viewed the footage and said all Singh did was hug the victim. When asked by police if they can view the footage themselves, police say the owners claimed the password to log into the surveillance cameras were not working and would be fixed on Nov. 18.
Police say Singh was taken into the station for questioning, but received another call before questioning. Officers asked Singh and one of the store owners to return on Nov. 18
Singh was booked in the Trumbull County Jail on Thursday, Nov. 18 and is charged with Gross Sexual Imposition, Public Indecency Exposure and Sociciting.
