Mahoning Co. sheriff and volunteers deliver Thanksgiving meals to some 600 seniors

Seniors throughout Mahoning County were treated to a Thanksgiving meal from the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies traveled to multiple centers, offering up around 40 turkeys plus some other side dishes to seniors that are unable to cook, are homebound or do not have the resources to get a meal.
The side dishes were whipped up by the Austintown Senior Center.
Sheriff Jerry Greene says this event has been going on for as long as he's been in office, and hopes it continues into the future.
"It's great to get back into it and this year it's changed a lot, there are a lot of other agencies contributing, AmeriCorp is here and Comfort Keepers, they've always assisted us, but just to see these different agencies helping out to get the job done with this has really been refreshing," Greene said.
This is the 14th year for the meal deliveries.
