Youngstown Flea shopping event to compliment tree lighting

YOUNGSTOWN - A special event being held later this week is designed to bring the holiday spirit and shopping back to Downtown Youngstown.
Dubbed the “Flea on Phelps”, the Youngstown Flea Market has announced plans for a special edition featuring local vendors offering their wares on the city’s Phelps Street Pedestrian Walkway.
Timed to coincide with the city’s “Light Up Night” Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, the Flea on Phelps is scheduled from 4 p.m. through 8 p.m. on Friday, December 3.
“Now is our moment, to capture the magic around the movement, to shop local,” said Flea founder Derrick McDowell. “The anticipation around supply chain issues, inflation costs, and shipping/delivery concerns surrounding us, we're the maker community that can help folks shop safely while they support small.”
In addition, the Youngstown Flea’s annual two-day Holiday Flea will take place at the 25,000 sq. ft. industrial space, located at 365 E. Boardman Street on Saturday, December 4, from 9 am to 3 pm, as well as Sunday from 11 am to 4 p.m.
