Warren City Council to discuss multiple pieces of legislation for waste water projects

WARREN, Ohio - Warren City Council will be holding a meeting Wednesday evening to discuss multiple pieces of legislation regarding waste water projects.
Warren's Director of Water Pollution Control described each piece of legislation.
The first piece of legislation asks for Phase 2 Designs for plant and pump station refurbishing. Haller tells 21 News this process will start in January of 2022 and will last about a year and a half.
All other pieces of legislation focus on sewers including EPA-driven sewer investigations.
Recently, Council completed an Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) study related to the reduction of storm water in sanitary sewers. Based on the results of this study, the EPA has a number of areas they wish to be further investigated.
The third piece of legislation is regarding the removal of difficult to remove sediment in the sewers. The loan is a specified engineering vehicle to quantify where the sediment is so contractors will know where to go and what to expect.
The fourth piece of legislation deals with the design of the Niles Rd. Sewer configuration. Haller tells 21 News this ordinance has already passed and that this is just a resolution to confirm the council is getting a loan.
The fifth piece of legislation is for the construction of Niles Rd. Haller tells 21 News that he still needs to get Council's approval for this regulation but the resolution will be done tonight.
In addition, Haller tells 21 News a meeting has been planned for Thursday, Dec. 16 regarding storm water consultation. The first reading will be conducted at Wednesday evening's meeting.
