The Mahoning County Farm Bureau is offering a reward in hopes of finding out who has been releasing livestock from local farms.

In a statement on its Facebook page, the bureau cited recent trespassing incidents on Mahoning County farms where livestock have been let out of their enclosures. The livestock sometimes has wandered onto nearby roadways.

The bureau is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone providing information to police that leads to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for property crimes committed against a county Farm Bureau member’s property.

For the reward to be paid, the person providing information, the Farm Bureau member, and the crime must meet certain eligibility criteria and all terms and conditions of this program. Full program details are available at ofbf.org.

The bureau says it is offering an additional $1000 reward to anyone providing information to law enforcement that leads to the arrest and conviction of persons for crimes committed to any property owner in the county regardless of bureau membership.
