Funeral services held for well-known Warren pastor

WARREN, Ohio - Hundreds gathered for funeral services for one beloved Warren pastor Monday evening, who made an impact on thousands of lives through the Warren Family Mission.
A ceremony honoring the life of Warren Family Mission's founder and executive director, Pastor Chris Gilger.
"I witnessed the compassion and the personal sacrifices he went through to help people that were in great need," said Dominic Mararri, Warren Family Mission's Public Relations Director.
Those attending Pastor Gilger's service, saying just how grateful they were to know him and have their lives changed because of his work.
Gilger was a missionary, mercenary, well known volunteer and rescuer for people battling addiction. Warren Family Mission says he left an enormous impact on his community.
"When someone pushed my Dad, he pushed back with love," said Pastor Gilger's son. "Like an immovable force, nothing on this Earth caused my Dad to bend to it's will."
"My Dad was a fighter, he was tough and strong," said Pastor Gilger's daughter. "I thought he hung the moon and nobody could have told me any different."
Pastor Gilger passed last week while on his way home from helping someone suffering from addiction.
Pastor Gigler's closest loved one's saying their final goodbye to a man who changed the community for the better.
"Although we are heartbroken and devastated that we won't see him again on this Earth, we know he is in heaven and that's where we find comfort," said Pastor Gilger's son.
The Warren Family Mission still completed their annual Holiday Meal last week, feeding close to 2,500 people.
