FDA investigating E-Coli outbreak in packaged salad products

The FDA, in collaboration with state and local partners are currently invesitgating illnesses in a multi-state E-Coli outbreak.
According to the CDC, as of January 6, 2022, 10 infections have been reported from four different states, including Ohio. So far, Ohio has one reported infection.
Consumer purchase data indicates that seven people purchased Nature's Basket Power Greens or Simple Truth Organic Power Greens at grocery stores before becoming sick.
Based on the purchase dates, the latest "best if used by" date is estimated to be December 20, 2021. The two salad blends consist of organic spinach, mizuna, kale and chard. Both blends were manufactured by the same processor.
At this time, available evidence does not indicate that impacted products are currently available on the market due to it being past expiration. The FDA is working to determine if there are additional non-expired products that are affected.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
Anyone who has purchased a potentially contaminated product with a "best by" date of 12/20/21 should not consume it and instead discard it.
