Alliance man sentenced to 9 months for attempted sexual contact with minor

Young pleaded guilty in December 2021 to importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - An Alliance man involved in a two-month-long sex sting in Mahoning County was sentenced Tuesday.

Mark Young was sentenced to nine months in prison Tuesday.

Young was indicted after being arrested in August by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force in an effort known as Operation Full Court Press.

The suspects arrested in that operation were from all walks of life including factory workers, computer techs, security officers, electrician, truck driver, engineer, customer service, pipefitters, butchers, business owners, and salesman.

Young pleaded guilty in December 2021 to importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
