COVID causes cancellation of in-person classes at Jamestown High School
A high school in Mercer County has halted in-person learning and extra-curricular activities because of COVID-19.

JAMESTOWN, Pa. - A high school in Mercer County has halted in-person learning and extra-curricular activities because of COVID-19.
The Jamestown Area School District announced on its website that due to what was described as a “significant amount” of COVID positive student and staff cases at the high school, the building is closed from Wednesday, January 12 through Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Students are scheduled to return on Wednesday, January 19.
During the closure, students are required to take part in virtual instruction.
All athletics and after-school activities are canceled.
Mercer County Career Center students are continuing to attend classes. Transportation from the high school is being provided.
