Injury reported in Mesopotamia crash

One person went to the hospital following a two vehicle accident in northwestern Trumbull County early Monday.

MESOPOTAMIA TWP., Ohio - One person went to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident in northwestern Trumbull County early Monday.

Dispatchers were told that a Chevy Malibu and a van were involved in the crash just before 6 a.m. on the 5200 block of State Route 87 in Mesopotamia Township.

One of the people involved was transported to a hospital in Geauga County. There is no word on the extent of the victim's injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
