A family is left searching for a temporary home following a bedroom fire in Boardman.

Firefighters arrived to Sequoya Drive by I-680 just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday. One resident inside told dispatchers there was a fire in her bedroom and she fled to a neighbors home.

Multiple fire crews were called in to help contain the flames. Nobody was injured, according to first responders.

Investigators said that two bedrooms were totally damaged. Damage to the entire house was not considered a total loss, but the family who lives inside will need to find somewhere else to stay until the bedrooms can be repaired.

Officials did not immediately release what caused the fire. An investigation to make that determination is underway.
