SHARON, Pa. - The Sharon city middle and high school were closed early Monday evening after the superintendent says there was an unfounded threat made against the school.

Superintendent, Justi Glaros, says a message was found written in graffiti.

Sharon Police Department along with the Mercer County Sheriff's office thoroughly searched the building, which will remain locked for the remainder of the evening.

"The safety and security of all students and staff is the District's highest priority and at this time it has been deemed that we are in good standing to conduct school, as usual, tomorrow," said Garlos.
