Governor Mike DeWine secures Republican nomination for Ohio Governor

NBC News has projected that incumbent Governor Mike DeWine will win the Republican nomination for Ohio Governor.

Ohio & Mahoning Valley - NBC News has projected that incumbent Governor Mike DeWine will win the Republican nomination for Ohio Governor.

He ran against Former Congressman Jim Renacci, Joe Blystone, and Ron Hood.

The Ohio Republican Party released a statement following DeWine's nomination:

"Congratulations to Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted on their strong victory tonight. Ohio Republicans look forward to voters across the Buckeye State rallying around their steadfast leadership to, once again, win the Governor's Office in November."
