HUBBARD, Ohio -
The Hubbard City Police Department shared a magical experience on their Facebook page.

The department posted pictures and said they were able to "provided a very special little warrior with a Princess Carriage ride."

Chief Robert Thompson said money was raised this fall. Several officers made a financial contribution to participate in "No Shave November." That money was then used to purchase a princess carriage ride for a little girl battling cancer.

"We do it every November, and other people donate to us - like when they see us not shaving they say 'Can I donate to this cause?' because they know we are going to do something worth while with it," said Thompson.

FOP Lodge 132 also donated to the cause.

"It just makes you feel good to help somebody out and make a child smile," said Thompson.

Thompson says the princess carriage ride spent about a half-hour driving through the east side of town.

The department said on their Facebook page, "Not everyday do we get to provide an escort for a Princess."
