Poland Rotary Memorial Park hosts groundbreaking ceremony to announce project

POLAND, Ohio - The Poland Rotary Club held a ceremonial groundbreaking event Tuesday afternoon at the Poland Rotary Memorial Park to announce a project taking place this summer.
The clubs event, coincidentally occurring on Flag Day, established the projects beginnings and its goal, which is to make the park a quality public space where Poland's service members can be commemorated.
This project, which is the biggest the club has done in a while, is also occurring because the group wants to drive momentum towards the Poland Rotary Memorial Park and launch its fundraiser drive.
The group worked with Poland Village representatives, business owners, citizens and Poland Rotarians to kick off the project, and is hoping for community support while the project takes place.
The club is accepting monetary donations for the project. Those who donate $100 will have their name cemented onto a small paver in the park, a donation of $500 will have their name cemented in a larger paver and a donation of $5,000 will get their name on a flag base.

The park is located across the street from the Poland Library on the corner of State Route 170 and Green Meadow Place.
