YOUNGSTOWN -
Past Y-Live concerts have been held on the campus of YSU at Stambaugh Stadium, but this years's concert is in the center of downtown Youngstown.
That means an increase in foot traffic with more people converging on the bars and restaurants in downtown.
On the strip on Federal Plaza restaurant and bar owners have been preparing.
At Avalon Pizzeria the owner is ready for an at capacity crowd, people reserved tables early at a favorite restaurant and bar on Federal Street.
The owner tells us Avalon has added pepperoni rolls, appetizers, and ready made pizzas for people who didn't make prior reservations but want to enjoy some drinks and great food.
"Hot and Readies for people that are not able to wait for a pizza, so come grab a pizza. It's ready you can walk out the door. We are doing slices which we normally don't do on an evening," said Avalon Owner Anne Massullo Sabella.
At the Whistle and Keg on Federal Street you can pay get a wrist band and pour your own craft beer, mead, and more with no waiting for someone to serve you and your friends.
"We got more canned beers, aluminum cans, Coors lite, bud lite, seltzer for people who want to hang out on the patio. We are fully stocked with about 48 taps, plenty of kegs for back up," said new owner Mike Iberis.
The owner of The Federal is ready for a much bigger Saturday crowd, excited about the extra business and foot traffic as around 20,000 people gather in Youngstown to enjoy the Luke Bryan concert.
"We do burgers, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, salads and obviously we have a full bar service so we touch on doing what we do best," Owner of the Federal Sophia Martini said.
Jacob Harver who worked prior concerts is also ready with his Youngstown Pedicab to take you from the restaurants downtown to the concert or from the concert to your truck or car.
Harver charges around 5 dollars for short trips and people typically add a gratuity.
The pedi-bike weighs around 500 pounds and has multiple gears for peddling to the Covelli Centre and to parking spaces.
Harver has worked providing his service at Y-Live concerts where Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton played in previous years.
"Things get pretty crazy. I think this one especially should be an exciting night," Harver said.
