A 16-year-old boy faces inducing panic charges in juvenile court for allegedly making threats directed at Wilson Alternative School and Virtual Academy in Youngstown.

A threat to “shoot up” the school was posted on Instagram over the weekend.

Viewers shared screenshots of the alleged threats with 21 News.

Police say they located the Wilson student suspected of making the threats and placed him under arrest.

After being questioned by detectives, the teen was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center on a charge of inducing panic.

Police say their investigation continued into Sunday evening and Monday morning to make sure there were no other threats or other people involved.

According to the police, no other people are involved.
