Mahoning County Career and Technical Center was placed on a brief lockdown due to a safety issue Wednesday morning.

According to a school spokesperson, the school was notified of a safety issue on the bus and contacted Canfield Police Department.

According to the school's superintendent, a bullet was found on a student on an Austintown bus.

After an investigation, Canfield Police found there was no issue, and the student had the bullet as a "keepsake."

The students were on a preliminary lockdown, and were not changing classes.

A spokesperson for the school said that there was no threat of danger to the students.

Classes have resumed as normal.
