The Ohio Bureau of Moter Vehicles (BMV) is back up and running after experiencing a statewide system outage late Tuesday morning

According to a Tweet from the Ohio BMV, the system came back up just before 1:45 p.m. The initial tweet reporting an outage was posted just after 10:30 a.m. indicating systems have been down for at least three hours.

In addition the Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News is also currently experiencing an "internal computer system outage" statewide. Sergeant Ray Santiago tells us this outage will not impact troopers' abilities to run license plates and do their job.

21 News has reached out to OSP to see if their systems are back up, and Santiago says they are "still having issues."

At this time, it is unclear if these outages are related in any way.
