Trivium Packaging in Youngstown is expected to create nearly 100 new full-time positions.

According to a press release from Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine, the company expects to create 93 full-time positions, which in turn will generate $6.1 million in new annual payroll and retain $32.7 in existing payroll on account of the company's current expansion project.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) approved a 1.522% eight-year job creation tax credit for the project. As part of the tax credit agreement, the TCA requires Trivium to maintain operations at the project location for at least seven more years.

Trivium was formed in 2019 with the merger of Exal and Ardagh Groups Food & Specialty Business. The company focuses on aluminum containers along with metal cans for food packaging.
