Improvements are coming to Route 224 in Boardman.

The Transportation Review Advisory Council unanimously approved the annual list of projects to receive state funding over the next four years.

Included in that list was the Route 224 project which was approved for $3 million in state funding.

The work will occur between State Route 7 and Tiffany Boulevard (near the Shops at Boardman Park) and includes additional turning lanes, signal improvements and implementing access management strategies and pedestrian improvements.

The Route 224 project is one of 27 across Ohio that will receive funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation.
